Julia Alexandra is a multidisciplinary artist working with image, video and text, known for her striking, intimate portraiture and fresh visual language. Her photographs encapsulate both the past and present, resulting in imagery that feels at once modern and familiar. Julia’s interest in photography began during a trip to Israel, documenting the life of the country’s natives. The same year she started studying photography in the United Kingdom, but soon shifted her focus to fashion. Her work debuted with independent monographs but then extended to digital content, branding herself as a photographer. Her work was both exhibited and published by independent publications. Currently doing her MA in Fashion Photography at UAL, her work is focusing on self-portraits and social experimentation.
