Marc Jacobs Blush

When it comes to make-up, I think it’s fair to say that everyone goes over the budget sometimes. We see so many mua’s, influencers and celebrities on social media, blogs and magazines recommending expensive products of well known brands, and sometimes it’s simply too hard not to buy them. Sometimes you end up being disappointed, yes, but other times you simply fall in love with them.

Besides perfumes, I never owned anything from Marc Jacobs. It was time for this to change and mostly because every makeup tutorial I watch has and recommends blushes or contouring palettes from MJ. I was a bit skeptical at first because I saw other brands in tutorials, doing wonders, and it was a completely different story for me. False advertising? Perhaps. But this time I feel like I got the big Jackpot, why? Continue reading and you will understand.

I always struggled with blushes, never finding a colour that I truly liked, or if I did, the composition was poor and it didn’t last more than a couple of hours. The blush is important, it accentuates your cheekbones and completes the makeup. So you understand why I was always looking for the perfect one. My search almost stop once I discovered L’Orèal, in shade Peach. It’s a very dry compressed powder but this was the closest to my preferencers that I could find.

I don’t want to make a big deal about this, personally I’m not obsessed with makeup even though sometimes I get more excited than I want to admit, but this blush is really something to shout and scream about. I finally got the product I was looking for all this time. The Shameless blush in shade 206 Reckless, one that blends perfectly with foundation, translucent powder and contouring, offering a beautiful finish to my makeup. It was quite pricey, I admit, but it will last for a while thanks to how consistent the composition is. And boy, how good it looks!

Besides all of this, the biggest difference is noticed on the final, overall makeup. The blush looks natural, it blends with everything, offering this gradient transition from powder, blush, contouring and highlighter. It feels silky, smooth and it doesn’t dry up your face. The formula is infused with essential amino acids and bio-lipids. Those allow the lightweight application I was talking about. It may cost £26 but it does exactly what I want and I will definitely purchase another one when this one is finished.

Another thing worth mentioning, it doesn’t have any smell. 90% of the blushes I’ve tried had a fragrance, if they smelled good or not, it doesn’t matter, I prefer it without any fragrance. Why? Because most of my makeup products have a fragrance of their own, especially those from Too Faced which usually have a strong one.

I will definitely try other products from the brand considering the pleasant surprise this one was. I totally recommend the blush!
