London Fashion Week

Waking up at 4 in the morning, getting ready to catch the coach for a three hour journey is not easy at all. I arrived in London feeling like a tiny robot, I felt like if I wasn’t going to calculate each step I will bump in the first person next to me. So, after three hours of sleep and plenty of stress, I managed to get to my destination, got my pass and wristband and went inside. I was impressed by the number of makeup artists that were having a brief before starting to work, by the designers that were doing some last checks to their creations and of course by the inspiring and motivating atmosphere that was surrounding all of us. From this I moved to another building and this is mostly because I was really curious to see the people that were going to attend the show and I have to tell you, this was one of the best choices I have ever made in my life.

London was filled with beautiful garments and amazing people turning each street into a cover magazine. It was an actual heaven for photographers, each one of them trying to catch the models before others and find the perfect spot for a shooting session. I changed a few words with a couple of them but giving the circumstances, there was no time for such things. Everywhere you looked designer bags, outfits, shoes and custom made purses were popping out from luxurious cars or cabs, revealing graceful people of all ages. From Anna Wintour and the Beckham family to famous influencers and fashion lovers, all gathered to see the SS20 Collections.

But of course that’s not all, PETA made an apparition with a very touching demonstration concerning the use of leather in the Fashion Industry, having people pose and shout for the cause while covered in a black liquid representing the blood of the innocent animals. The group of protestants was completely surrounded by photographers and TV crews, while pedestrians stopped to join them or photograph the entire event.

It was the first time when I took part of such event and truth to be told, it was more than I expected. Every moment brought something new to the table, enough to convince me to come back next February. Enjoy the photos and let me know what you think!
