If you haven’t heard of hemp seed oil until now, don’t worry, you are not alone. Even though it has amazing properties, hemp seed oil is not integrated as it should be in our daily care routine. When I say magical properties I don’t exaggerate and if you will stay with us until the end, you will understand where I am coming from.
In this article I will tell you briefly about the remedy for most of our problems, one that I still don’t understand why is not advertised more. Perhaps they want us to continue spending money on useless products?
Thick and Healthy Hair
If you are bleaching, dyeing and styling your hair constantly using heat or if you simply have a sensible hair that gets easily burned only by exposing it to the sun, you guessed, this is the answer. Perhaps you already know from my previous article that I’ve recently bleached my hair and unfortunately I had to do it twice so that I can get the colour I want. It was no surprise when I saw my hair drier than ever, harsh and basically dead compared with before. I used moroccan oil for a couple of days then I discovered Glycerine which helped me a lot as well. But I still needed to hurry the healing process so that I can actually get the desired colour. This is when hemp seed oil came in scenario, applied as a warm and easy to do at home mask. It changed the game completely.
In case you didn’t know, I myself did not, most of the commercial products that we use for our hair such as shampoo and conditioner, have hemp seed oil as a base ingredient. It is needles to say that most of its properties are lost when combined with the rest of the ingredients considering that most of them are chemicals. This is exactly why it is essential to buy pure oil and apply it on your scalp and hair, because this way you benefit of all the properties it has. This natural emollient penetrates the skin and hair and keeps them hydrated for a long period of time, giving us the heavy and glowing hair that we want.
The Benefits of Hemp Seed Oil Mask are:
- Healthier Look
- Silky and Glowing Effect
- Combats Greasy Hair
- Reduces Split Ends
- Hydrates the Scalp
- Reduces Hair Loss
The mask is easy to make at home and you can combine it with other desired oils. But let’s keep it simple. Warm up the oil and massage it into your scalp and hair. (not to much though, you don’t want to burn yourself) Cover it with a plastic bag and if you want you can add on top of that a warm towel to keep the heat in. Yes, that’s it. If you want fast results you can add it three times a week but for me, two was more than enough.
Smooth, Glowing Skin
Because it is very smooth and silky, hemp seed oil doesn’t block the pores, making it the perfect remedy for acne by calming the skin and healing the scars. As I mentioned, we are talking about a natural emollient that penetrates the skin, keeping it moisturised. That’s why you can use it for makeup removal or to replace the night cream. The principal acids in this oil are Omega 3 and Omega 6, the perfect combo to assure healthy cells, those in return give us elasticity for both hair and skin. Elasticity and hydration mean one thing, no wrinkles. The aging process is slowed down by the use of hemp seed oil, either if you apply it or ingest it in the morning on an empty stomach. Another thing, perhaps the most important one, is that it is recommended for people who suffer from psoriasis and this is because reduces scaly skin, the redness and the itches, allowing the soft skin to come back to surface. Keep in mind that it has more than 25 proteins which are similar with the ones in our body, making it a natural supplement as well. The use of hemp seed oil on long term proved to be a cure for those suffering of psoriasis, some even saying that this is the only think that helped them out.
More and more studies, the most famous one being from Jerusalem, show how many healing properties it has and how it can actually prevent conditions and diseases. And if you were wondering, no, it doesn’t have any sort of hallucinogenic effect, so you can consume it without any stress before breakfast.
